AMT - SSA1000
The 7" X 24" X 20" work area allows large structures to be tested. The SSA 1000 is designed to test bridges built to the new International Bridge Building Committee Standards. The area is totally enclosed with high-impact polycarbonate shielding for the protection of you and your students. It also has a safety interlock which does not allow the test to run unless the guard is fully closed.
Every SSA 1000 comes standard with our proprietary software and interface cable. This allows you to graph all of your tests and samples, compare them against each other using overlays, as well as many other features that make the software a powerful teaching and learning tool.
The SSA 1000 has the following features:
ALPHA NUMERIC LCD READOUT to keep the operator informed of test status by displaying force and deflection. The unit senses failure of the model before it is destroyed completely and displays the maximum achieved strength.
MODE ROCKER SWITCH to allow the operator to scroll and select:
- CONTINUOUS MODE which places unit in automatic cycle.
- INCREMENTAL MODE which can select presets loads from 10 to 100 lbs.
- UNIT MODE which chooses between SAE and Metric units
- MAXIMUM FORCE which allows maximum force to be set from 5 to 1000 lbs
OPTIONAL TENSILE TESTER UNIT which shows force and elongation of tensile specimens demonstrating yield, strength, and strength to weight ratios of various metals.
